The Airborne & Special Operations Museum is hosting two World War II exhibits. Running concurrently with “Courage and Compassion: The Legacy of The Bielski Brothers” exhibit, “Operation HALYARD” highlights the heroic mission to rescue downed U.S. airmen from Nazi-occupied Serbia during the waning months of World War II.

The U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum is pleased to present Courage and Compassion: The Legacy of the Bielski Brothers. This original, award-winning exhibition showcases the heroic efforts of three brothers who helped save more than 1,200 people while living in the forest during the Second World War.  

TRP Sumner celebrated the expansion of its Fayetteville location with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 9. The need for expansion came after TRP Sumner was formed in 2020 through the merger of CPA firms TRP and McFadyen & Sumner.

Kids with Hearts for the Arts presents An Evening with the Arts on June 18. This cocktail attire event will feature performances by local youth artists throughout North Carolina, refreshments and prizes featuring items from local small businesses. The event, which is 7 to 9:30 p.m., is a fundraiser for artistic scholarships for children seeking arts education. Kids with Hearts for the Arts was established by Huck Borden and Annika Benander in 2020 to showcase youth artistic talent and promote scholarship opportunities for kids in the arts.
