One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday at Raeford Road and Hoke Loop Road, Fayetteville police said.
Police were dispatched to the crash shortly after 1 a.m.
The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
Late Saturday, police identified the driver as Amanda Marie Qualls, 25, of Fayetteville. She was operating a 2013 Dodge Challenger.
The other driver, Stephen Patrick Williams, 24, of Washington, Connecticut, was operating a 2016 GMC Sierra truck. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
