Alice “Faye” Davis, age 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Paul & Thelma Nance.
Faye was raised in Cerro Gordo, NC. She loved the Lord and enjoyed serving for over 50 years in Sunday School and many ladies ministries at the Hope Mills Church of God. She also passionately volunteered at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for many years, showing love and compassion to her community. She was a true Servant to the Lord, her family, her church, and to others all around her. Faye was a loving wife, mother, Nannie, Great-Nannie, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed, but we know she is at her eternal home with her Lord.
Faye is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Nathan Davis, her cherished sons Charles Davis & fiancé Janelle Thompkins, Michael Davis & Pam Davis, Larry Davis & Dr. Carl Matthews. Beloved grandchildren Valerie Reed & husband Matthew Reed, Brad Harris & wife Sarah Harris, Ryan Davis & fiancé Sydney Plummer, Christian Davis & wife Sydney Davis, Lindsey Davis & Nick Woods, Carlos Davis, Alicia Davis, and Isaiah Davis.
Adored Great-Grandchildren Davis Reed, Ellis Reed, Bailey Woods, Levi Davis, Brady Harris, and Hayes Harris. Thoughtful brother Gene Nance & wife Mary Nance, with loved nephew Little Gene Nance & family. A special thank you to her caregiver and friend Dot Craig.
A funeral service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at 11:00am at the Hope Mills Church of God. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00am to 10:45am prior to service proceedings. Wesley Holmes will be officiating
