Alma O’Briant “Boots” Harvey, 85, of Fayetteville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at her home.
Alma was born Sept. 13, 1937, in Kernersville, N.C., to the late Elnora and Frank O’Briant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene Harvey.
Alma retired from the Cumberland County Schools and later worked as a church secretary for Green Springs Baptist Church for several years.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at Green Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Harvey and Annette Patterson (Billy); son, Alan Harvey (Pat); brother, Francis Hogan “Bones” O’Briant (Ann); sister, Jo Ellen Starr; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Samaritan’s Purse.
