Posted

The eighth annual Alpha Romeo Tango exhibit, presented by Cape Fear Studios, 148 Maxwell St., will be open to the public from Feb. 23 until March 21. The military art exhibit is free to attend and open to the public.

Active-duty, Reserve, National Guard, veterans and retirees and their dependents in all service branches who are 18 years or older may submit their work. The show will display art entries featuring the diverse, multimedia talent of local artists with military backgrounds. The art does not need to be about military subjects as the exhibit highlights the artists and their artwork.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award will begin at 11 a.m. Feb. 23 and will close at 7 p.m. Feb. 24. The award will be announced at the exhibit opening that night at Cape Fear Studios. Cash awards will be presented for first, second and third place by retired Lt. Col. Robert Pinson, a U.S. Military Academy graduate and interim president and CEO of the Arts Council of Cumberland County.  The opening is 6-8 p.m. and is open to the public.

Cape Fear Studios is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p,m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
