Christiana Adeyemi has been named executive director for Better Health of Cumberland County effective Jan. 5.

“I am excited to join the Better Health team and to continue the legacy of 64 years of service to the citizens of Cumberland County,” Adeyemi said in a release.

Better Health works to provide for the unmet healthcare needs of Cumberland County residents through assistance, referral and education.

Adeyemi, a long-term Cumberland County resident and military spouse of 23 years, has a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, a Master of International Law and Diplomacy and a Master of Business Administration.

She has more than 15 years of strategic development and plan execution experience at Action Pathways, a nonprofit community action agency that helps low-income families and individuals get on a path to self-sufficiency, the agency said in a release. She most recently served as the Head Start director, where she performed organizational management, human resources and event planning.

“Christiana Adeyemi is the right person at the right time to maximize this organization’s impact in our community,’’ said Susan Miller, president of the Better Health board of directors. “Her leadership, experience and drive will be a great asset to Better Health of Cumberland County.’’

Minuteman Press acquires Biz Tools One

Minuteman Press of Fayetteville has acquired Biz Tools One website design, the companies announced earlier this month.

The merger, effective Feb. 1, creates the first web division for Minuteman Press of Fayetteville, which will now offer web design and management in addition to its other services.

In an announcement to clients, Biz Tools One founder Wick Smith said clients would continue to work with many of the same people. Jon Bius will manage the office in Fayetteville. He also said there would be a location change from Executive Place to 1005 Arsenal Ave.

“I will be handing the reins over to Jared (Ostendorf) and transitioning away from Biz Tools One Web Design’s operations,’’ Smith said in the announcement.

Ostendorf is the owner of Minuteman Press of Fayetteville.

TRP Sumner opens new office

TRP Sumner has opened its new office building at 2401 Robeson St.

The “TRP Sumner campus’’ includes the new building and the existing office, which was at 2405 Robeson St., the firm said in a release.

The last two years saw the merger of two large CPA firms – TRP and McFadyen & Sumner – to create TRP Sumner, the release said. That prompted the building expansion.

All personnel from the Fayetteville office at 572 Executive Place have moved to the new campus, and that office is now closed, the release said. The Dunn office of TRP Sumner at 110 Commerce Drive remains open.

The firm plans to hold a ribbon-cutting and open house after tax season, the release said.

TRP Sumner is a top 500 CPA firm in the country and serves clients in Cumberland, Harnett and surrounding counties.
