City offices to close Thursday-Friday to observe Thanksgiving

City government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving.  

The front lobby and records unit of the Fayetteville Police Department’s main station, at 467 Hay St., will be closed both days. Police reports can be filed or accessed at faypd.com, according to a city news release.

Garbage and yard waste on Thursday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday. Recycling on Thursday’s routes will be collected on Saturday. Friday’s garbage, yard waste and recycling routes will remain on schedule.

Administrative offices at Fayetteville Regional Airport will be closed Thursday and Friday, but all other airport operations will remain on a normal schedule.

City buses and other transit options will not operate on Thursday but will resume the regular weekday schedule of 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday.

Recreation centers and offices will be closed Thursday. Offices will remain closed Friday, but recreation centers will be open on an abbreviated schedule of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Parks, trails and green spaces will remain open.
