Zell Robert Goodrich (CSM Retired), 91, passed away on September 25, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
Zell was a proud soldier serving his country for 28 years in the US Army. His honors include: The Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and Meritorious Service Medal.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Margarete Goodrich; children, Barbara Paulos (Keith) of Augusta, GA, Robert Goodrich (Edna) of Eastover, NC, Rosemarie Osterwald (Christoph) of Oldenburg, Germany, and Karen Gosnell of Fayetteville, NC; his nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The family is grateful for the loving support of his dear friends- our angels on Earth.
The wake will be held from 5 to 7PM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Reilly Road Presbyterian Church. Burial to follow immediately after the service at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
