Downtown 5k run/walk on Friday to benefit Special Olympics

The public is invited  to a 5k run/walk on Friday in downtown Fayetteville to benefit the North Carolina Special Olympics, according to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department.

Registration for the 2023 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics begins at 7 a.m. Friday in the parking lot at Franklin and Pittman streets, between the Fayetteville Police Department and City Hall. The run will begin at 8 a.m., the release said.

Registration is $20 and includes a Special Olympics T-shirt, which participants are required to wear for the run and walk.
