Giovanni Salvatore Giallongo, 85, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, in his home.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria A. Giallongo, and his son, Giovanni Salvatore Giallongo Jr. Giovanni is survived by his daughters, Rosalie Horricks and husband, Glenn Horricks; Veronica Snead and husband, Kenneth Snead; brother, Joseph Sunseri and wife, Patricia Sunseri. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Giovanni served the Lord faithfully. He worked in a prison ministry while living in El Paso, Texas. He was also very active in the Optimist Club while living in Tehachapi, California.
Giovanni will be greatly missed by family, friends and loved ones.
A private funeral service will be held at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at noon March 15 with Pastor Paul Worley officiating.
