Here's What Fayetteville is doing in February!

With January in the books, it’s time to discover new entertainment and events for February. This new month will include sports, cultural events, and live music throughout the region. This is your chance to break free of those winter doldrums and find something fun and exciting to do in the area.

Here’s what Fayetteville is doing in February:

AT THE CROWN COMPLEX:

Feb. 10: Rodney Carrington will perform his own brand of witty and sarcastic comedy at the Carolina Complex at the Crown Theatre as part of his 2023 Rodney Carrington comedy tour, which blends stand-up comedy and original songs.

Feb. 11: ABBA is Sweden’s biggest export ever, with more than 400 million record sales. This show includes great solos, energetic musical numbers, a live band, and backup singers.

Feb. 18: Confection Convention: Come one, come all for this confectionery cake walk! You’ll be able to explore the world of treats and desserts while having a good time with friends and family. Explore hard enough, and you might find a caterer for your next birthday party, wedding, or special get-together.

LIVE MUSIC

Feb. 4: Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra’s February public concert is a side-by-side performance with the Fayetteville Symphony Youth Orchestra. LIVE THEATER

Through Feb. 19: “Matilda the Musical” at Cape Fear Regional Theatre has been delighting audiences with a nearly sold-old run since it opened Jan. 26. Don’t miss this musical, which features an extraordinary girl with an appetite for books. Her vivid imagination helps her dare to dream of a better life and become the hero of her own story. Feb. 17-March 5: “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” at Gilbert Theater. Get ready for a complete Shakespeare rundown in just 97 minutes. Played out by three madcap men in tights, the show expeditiously explains all 37 of the English playwright’s comedies, historical dramas and tragedies. COMEDY

The Church Entertainment Lounge, adjacent to Paddy’s, is a collision of art, faith and technology in a beautiful lounge setting. It’s complete with a bar, three-tiered stage, pool and Foosball tables, as well as state-of-the-art sound and lighting. OUTDOOR RECREATION

Feb. 17: A rod-building primer workshop will be at John E. Pechmann Fishing Education Center. Discuss and learn how fishing rods are made and the tools needed to make them so you can start building your own rods at home.
