Investigators seized 47.35 grams of heroin after a search of a room at the Oyo Hotel on Friday afternoon, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
The room was searched at 4:30 p.m. Friday of Room 256 of the motel at 3945 Goldsboro Road, in Wade, according to a news release.
Detectives seized the heroin along with about 2.5 pounds of marijuana and two guns.
Craeandre Therman Eugene McArthur, 30, of Wade, was charged with possession of firearm by a felon; two counts of trafficking in heroin; possession with intent to sell or deliver drugs; manufacturing drugs; and maintaining a dwelling for [drug trafficking, the news release said.
McArthur was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is held on a $65,000 secured bond. His first appearance in court is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Cumberland County Detention Center.
