Hope Mills Branch Library closed until sewer main break repaired

(Editor's note: This report has been updated to say that the Hope Mills library will be closed until further notice.)

The Hope Mills Branch Library at 3411 Golfview Road will be closed until further notice because of a sewer main break near the library that is affecting utility services, according to a Cumberland County news release.

The break happened Thursday. The library will be closed until it is connected to a new sewer line that is under construction. The tie-in is expected to be complete early next week, a county news release said.

Patrons of the Cumberland County Public Library system are encouraged to use other locations, the release said.

The county has eight library locations. Those closest to the Hope Mills Branch include Bordeaux Branch Library at 3711 Village Drive and West Regional Library at 7469 Century Circle, both in Fayetteville.

More information on the library system, including a list of other locations, is at cumberlandcountync.gov/library.
