James Franklin Herring, Jr., 62, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022. James (Jim) was born on February 9, 1960, to the late James Franklin and Norma Jean Herring.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly; stepdaughters, Lorie Brigman (Chuck) of Clayton, NC and Brittany Butler (Chris) of Wilson, NC; sister, Peggy Ferrell (Ben) of Oceanside, CA and several nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends and work family.
Jim touched many hearts and cared deeply for his family. Jim was employed with Marley Engineering in Bennettsville, SC (an SPX Corporation) for 33 years. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, and spending time with his dog, Whiskey. He volunteered with the program, “Take A Vet Fishing.” He loved doing for others and everyone loved Jim. If you knew Jim, you had a friend.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 Pm on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Mitchell Tyner officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Pm.
