Leroy Anthony Wooten, 47, passed away on February 2, 2022.
Leroy was preceded in death by his great grandfather, George Dawson; great grandmother, Reverend Lizzie Hair; father, George Leroy Dawson Sr.; grandfather, Shelly Wooten; grandmother, Annie Bell Wooten; and special brother-in-law, Van Cooper. He is survived by his beloved wife, Brendella Wooten of Fayetteville; daughters, Diamond Whitted-Wooten, Erlaya, and Skye; sons, Damonta Antonia Lance , Joseph, and Lazhan; mother, Phyllis Moore; siblings, Macy Wooten of Fayetteville, Kevin Moore of Fayetteville, and Deondria McMillan of Fayetteville; aunts, Shirley Matthews of Arkansas, Martha Whitehead of Stedman, and Margaret Davis of Hope Mills; uncle, Michael Wooten of Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Leroy graduated from Douglas Byrd High School then later received his associates degree from Richmond Community College. He chose a career in trucking receiving his CDL’s in 2008 and had been an owner and operator ever since.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 Pm at Rogers and Breece Chapel on Friday, February 11, 2022, with Reverend Ricky Dawson Sr. officiating. The family will greet friends prior the service at 12 Pm to 12:45 Pm.
