Love is in the air: Valentine’s Day celebrated with music, carriage rides

Valentine’s Day is coming quickly. Here are some ways to treat your sweetheart:

  • A Valentine’s cabaret called “Songs of Love” will feature Lisette Rodriguez, Linda Flynn and Michael Daughtry at The Sweet Palette bake shop, 101 Person St. The show, produced by Yellow Beanie Project, will be performed at 8 p.m. Feb. 10, 11 and 14. Tickets include desserts and a beverage, with additional cocktails for sale. Several ticket packages are available. Go to the Yellow Beanie Project website for information.
  • Valentine’s carriage rides through Cool Spring Downtown District are scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11. The rides begin at 222 Hay St. Tickets are $75, and some time slots are already sold. Go to Eventbrite for information.
  • Fayetteville Sounds will perform on downtown streets and at shops and restaurants from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11, according to Cool Spring Downtown District. A free flower will be available outside the district’s office at 222 Hay St. on Valentine’s Day.
  • The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra will host “Symphony on Tap: Date Night” featuring a violin-cello duet starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at Dirty Whiskey Craft Cocktail Bar, 5431 Corporation Drive, Hope Mills.
