Mary Ann Strickland Capps, 89, passed away on March 29, 2023.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Master Sgt. James Edison Capps, and her daughter, Nancy J. Capps. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her grandson, James Alexander Thaman; granddaughter, Rachel Ann Capps and husband, Andrew Berg; and her two grandchildren, Arianna Alora Hester and Braeden Berg.
Born in Spring Lake, North Carolina, Mary Ann dedicated her life to helping others. She was a loving, caring, and generous woman who will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, with Pastor Scott Connor and Pastor Kirby officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
