Ret. MGySgt. Steven E. Behagg, 72, passed away on February 11, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Steven was born on September 16, 1949 to the late Herbert and Helen Wilburn Behagg in Evansville, Indiana. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Briggs and Vicky Fark and one brother Bruce Behagg.
Steven leaves behind his wife, Elgie Daniel Behagg and their children, Frances Behagg and Daniel Behagg and his wife Ruthi; one grandson Parker Behagg; two sisters, Pat Morris and Donna Grondin and one brother, Ricky Behagg.
Ret. MGySgt. Behagg served his country as a U.S. Marine for over 23 years. After retirement, he and his wife bought a farm where they raised pigs and he tended to his garden. His garden provided their family with plenty of stored food. Steven most recently worked as a security officer at Fayetteville Technical Community College and then later retired.
There will be a funeral service in Ret. MGySgt. Behagg’s honor at 11:30am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake. Burial will immediately follow the service at LaFayette Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
