Pet Fest of the Sandhills is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hope Mills Park, 5770 Rockfish Road.
The family-friendly event includes a 5K pet walk at noon, vendors, demonstrations and activities. Grab some lunch and stroll through the park.
The event will feature the Fayetteville Freedom Flyers FlyBall Team and the Greatest Showgals horses. The kids’ zone is going to be a blast with Hope Mills Road Animal Hospital. Shaky Tails Party Animals will bring their llamas, alpacas, a unicorn and more. There also will be face painting with Tori, magic tricks and fun with Gambol the Clown, Randy and his amazing tortoises, Koa the trick chicken, bounce houses with Bragg Bounce Rentals, kids games and more.
There will be watering holes with Kritter Kruiser Pet Taxi, a selfie station with Pet Supplies Plus and a Pet Fest Pet Walk at noon with North Star Veterinary Hospital to benefit the Fayetteville Animal Protection Society.
The event is free, and all pets are welcome.
