Public Safety & Valor Awards seeking nominations for the new Local Hero award

Posted

The 2022 Public Safety and Valor awards are introducing a Local Hero Award, the only public-nominated award for this event.

The Greater Fayetteville Chamber and award sponsor AT&T are seeking nominees who work for police, fire or emergency medical services within Cumberland County who you can share a first-person story about detailing their act of heroism. Please submit your nominations via this link https://forms.gle/hKuAsNvEWc6mKEhw9

The winner will be recognized on Oct. 18 when the Greater Fayetteville Chamber presents the fifth annual Public Safety Valor Awards. This event is presented by Highland Construction & Restoration and Manna Church to show community appreciation to the first responders in the city, county and Fort Bragg. This event will be from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at Manna Church, 5117 Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville.

Other honorees have been nominated by their respective agencies, and the selection committee then narrows the list to recognize individuals with Lifesaving, Merit & Valor Awards.
