Photographs that capture the story of change in the world are on display in “Reformation: Solo Photography Exhibition & Film Screening,” an exhibit opening Saturday at the Arts Council of Fayetteville-Cumberland County.
The exhibit will be open through April 30 at the Arts Center, 301 Hay St., according to a news release.
Artist and producer Zairis TéJion Miles offers a visually abstract retrospective of urban life merged with the intricate architectural elements of Fayetteville and other cities, the news release said. The photographs are intended to reflect change and enable people to see their surroundings from an alternate perspective.
The exhibit is accompanied by a short film written and directed by Miles and Manifested Dreamz Productions that features songs from the “Reformation” album. Tracks on the album are named after the art pieces, according to the news release.
“This has definitely been a wonderful and rewarding journey,” says Miles. “My art tells a story within itself from the perspective of how I see the world through my eyes and lens.”
The exhibit and film screening are free and open to the public. All art pieces will be available for purchase, the release said.
