A Fort Bragg soldier was killed Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the intersection at Knox and Honeycutt streets, the 18th Airborne Corps said.
The incident happened around 10 a.m., the 18th Airborne Corps said in a release. The name of the soldier is not being released until the family has been notified.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of one of our own in the recent accident that occurred this morning on Fort Bragg,” said Lt. Col. David Olson, a spokesman for the 18th Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg.
The incident is under investigation.
