The Fayetteville Fire Department is investigating a Sunday morning fire that damaged a home on Davis Street.
Four people were displaced by the fire that was reported around 4:30 a.m., the department said in a release.
When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the roof. A fire was found in the attic.
The occupants were outside when firefighters arrived. The department said a smoke detector alerted them to the fire. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the occupants.
Damage was estimated at $5,000.
