Sung Won Yang, 90, of South Korea, died in Fayetteville, NC on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Sung Won was born in Seoul, Korea on July 21, 1931 daughter to Un Sun Yang and Seung Rye Lee. She worked as a telephone operator in South Korea until retirement. Sung Won recently came to The United States to visit her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Man IL Jin, and a daughter Kyung Hae Jin.
She is survived by two sons, Sung Woon Jin and Yong Tae Jin; two daughters Kang Hae Jin and Hwang Hae Jin; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at LaFayette Funeral Home, located at 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304, 11:30 AM Monday, June 13, 2022. Pastor Bong Hun Hong will be officiating the service.
