Valerie Alexander, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on September 13, 2023.
Nanny, as she was affectionately called by many, lived in Fayetteville for over 5 decades. She is a survivor who impressively adapted to all the changes going on in the world over her lifetime; as well as overcame the challenges in her life. She persevered to live a full life surrounded by lots of love, laughter, and dear, lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Alexander, and daughter, Ulrike (Horstmann) McCollum. She is survived by her granddaughter, April (McCollum) Bain and 3 great-grandchildren, Andrew “Mac”, Adeline, and Alexander, of Shaker Heights, Ohio and her nieces, Gretlies and Ragna Pidun of Germany.
She will be fondly remembered and celebrated.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
