A Fayetteville woman was charged with selling drugs from a vehicle after police received a CrimeStoppers tip about suspicious activity, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Just after 10 p.m. March 15, officers with the department’s Community Empowerment Response Team were investigating a report of a woman selling Fentanyl and other illegal narcotics in the 2700 block of Owen Drive, according to a news release.
Investigators saw the woman selling narcotics from the driver’s side of a vehicle and made contact with her, the release said.
Britney Olivia Tew, 33, of Fayetteville, was taken into custody without incident. A search of her vehicle led to the seizure of 85 grams of Fentanyl; cocaine; methamphetamine; 5 grams of marijuana; and $1,880 in cash, the release said.
Tew was charged with three counts of trafficking in Fentanyl; three counts of trafficking in cocaine; three counts of trafficking in methamphetamine; possession with the intent to sale, deliver or manufacture methamphetamine; possession with intent to sell, deliver or manufacture Fentanyl and cocaine; and two counts of maintaining a vehicle to sell methamphetamine.
Tew was held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond, the release said.
