Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Butler, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Beloved Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Harold E. Rogers and Mildred O. Leaks. At the time of her death and for the last 25 years of her life, she resided with her loving daughter and son -in-law, Emily and Larry Carter, who devoted their lives to her care and well-being (during her final years of chronic and acute medical issues) because of their love for her.

In addition to leaving behind her daughter and son-in-law, Anne leaves behind two grandsons : Larry Carter, Jr., who is currently serving our country in the US Navy and Christopher Carter, a retired veteran. She also leaves behind a loving brother, to whom she was very close, Harold L. Roger of Clinton, Maryland, a U.S. Navy veteran.

Anne Butler was truly a remarkable, beautiful, loving, sassy lady, who loved the Lord. Her life’s work began with the Lord and remained steadfast during her years on this earth: she graduated from AT&T University at Greensboro, NC where she earned her bachelor’s degree and then taught for 10 years before pursuing a career with Bell South and AT&T in Greensboro, rising to second level district manager before her retirement.

Whatever Anne set her mind to do or to accomplish, she succeeded by using her intelligence and God-giving Wisdom and Faith. Now that she has completed her purpose on this earth, she can rest in the arms of a loving God; and her loved ones—her beloved children, Emily and Larry, and her beloved grandsons, Larry, Jr. and Christopher, and her beloved brother, Harold, and all who loved her and God, can say, Anne, you have done a job well-done on this earth and you have let your spiritual values and love for the Lord guide you. Come Home now to Rest In Peace and have a beautiful spiritual journey in the Lord.
