Bobby Leo Byrd, age 91, of Fayetteville passed away on May 24, 2022.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Romie and Lorena Byrd; brother, Edgus Byrd; and brother, Marion Byrd. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Daphne Dew Byrd; son, Mark Byrd and wife, Jan; son, Scott Byrd and wife, Deane; sister, Laura Rambeaut and husband, Fred; nieces, Linda Harper and Robin Hall; and nephew, Roger Byrd.
Bobby was a US Navy Veteran born in Bunnlevel, NC on June 27, 1930. After proudly serving his country in the Navy, he started his career with the US Postal Service where he retired as a Sectional Center MGR. Bobby will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 Pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with Pastor David Woodhouse officiating. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hay Street United Methodist Church.
