A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident on Ramsey Street Saturday night, Fayetteville police said.
Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Ramsey Street just after 9:30 p.m.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene, the Police Department said in a release.
The vehicle and driver involved were on the scene, police said.
The identities of those involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
At 10:42 p.m., all lanes of Ramsey Street near Peace Street were closed while members of the department’s Traffic Unit investigate, police said. The roadway was expected to open by 2 a.m.
