Musicians, artists and vendors will celebrate Hispanic culture at Fiesta Latina on Friday evening in downtown Fayetteville, a kickoff for the 44th annual International Folk Festival.
Musicians who will perform live include Moises Inostroza, DJ Heaven Knows, and Jimmy Roman.
A food truck rodeo will be staged at the Arts Council of Fayetteville-Cumberland County, and a beer garden will be open on Anderson Street.
Dancing and artwork also will be featured, as well as more than 50 vendors, the release said.
Fiesta Latina is September’s Fourth Friday gathering sponsored by Cool Spring Downtown District in partnership with Latinos United for Progress and the Arts Council of Fayetteville-Cumberland County, according to a news release.
Fiesta Latina will be from 6 to 9 p.m., coinciding with an opening reception for the International Folk Festival’s Heritage Exhibit.
The Folk Festival’s Parade of Nations will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, followed by two days of music, artwork, vendors and food to celebrate cultural heritage. For more information, go to the International Folk Festival website.
