Fort Liberty’s traditional celebration on Independence Day will feature Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Famer Sheryl Crow as the headliner, as well as national recording artist Gavin DeGraw.

Downtown Fayetteville will salute independence with a block party on Maxwell Street, followed by the traditional Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra concert at Festival Park.
Both celebrations will conclude with fireworks.
Gates open at 3 p.m. Tuesday for Fort Liberty’s Fourth at the Fort celebration at the Main Post Parade Field. Admission is free and open to the public.
The 82nd All-American Rock Band will perform from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m.; the Golden Knights parachute demonstration is at 5:45 p.m.; a flag ceremony and the national anthem are set at 6:13 p.m.; and pop-rock singer Gavin DeGraw will perform from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
Crow, who will be inducted into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall Fame on Nov. 3, will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled at 9:45 p.m.
Visitors will need proper identification to access the base. Pets, glass bottles and barbecue grills will not be allowed on base. Alcoholic beverages, handguns, knives and other weapons also are prohibited.
Ice and coolers will be allowed.
Anyone who does not have a valid Department of Defense ID will have two options for access to Fort Liberty on Tuesday. One is to Pre-register online.
Those with a gate pass or military ID may use these gates: All American, R. Miller, Chicken, or Long Street. Every individual in the vehicle must have valid identification, and all vehicles will be searched.

Downtown Fayetteville
The July 4th FAYcation and the Independence Concert & Fireworks will bring entertainment in the historic downtown district prior to a fireworks display at Festival Park.
Cool Spring Downtown District will host the FAYcation block party from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday on Maxwell Street. Music by DJ Kool and from local DJs will fill the streets while food vendors and beer garden will be available. Yard and water games will provide family fun.
The city and Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra will present a concert and fireworks show at Festival Park, with gates opening at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The concert will begin at 7:15 p.m. with the Fayetteville Symphonic Band. The orchestra and the 82nd Airborne Division Band will perform beginning about 8:15 p.m.
Food trucks and a free children’s area will be included. No skateboards, bicycles, personal tents or canopies will be allowed.
Only service animals will be allowed in the park.
