The third annual I Love My Community Cookout and Giveaway is scheduled for Aug. 19 at the Murchison Road Food Truck Park, according to a news release.
The cookout will feature guest speakers, live musical performances, dancing, games and job resources as well as free food, backpacks, school supplies and hygiene products.
Hosted by L3 Brand Community Alliance and its community partners, activities will run from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. at the food truck park at Murchison Marketplace Plaza. The main giveaway will begin at 3 p.m. Resources and vendor giveaways will be available throughout the day, the release said.
