Man charged with murder after body found on Arlington Street in Hope Mills

A Hope Mills man has been charged with murder after a body was found Monday in the 4700 block of Arlington Street, according to a news release.

Detectives with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office found the body of Aaron Ralston, 36, who had been reported missing.

Homicide detectives arrested Jeffrey Lennon Walters, 34, of Hope Mills, on a charge of first-degree murder. Walters was held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond. His first appearance at court is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the release said.
