A man was shot in the back Wednesday evening in the 2000 block of Strickland Bridge Road, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Gunshots were reported in the area about 6:45 p.m., a police news release said.
Officers found the man with a gunshot wound in his back. He was taken to a hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition, the release said.
The Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the shooting.
