Polly Cain Williams, 84, was called home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2024 in Elizabethtown, NC. She was born in White Oak, NC on June 7, 1939, to the late Wingate Fuller and Lula Mae Cain.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elwood “Carroll” Williams; her son Dana Williams; her brothers Wingate Cain and Elwood Cain; and her sisters Katherine Dupuis, Sybil Biconish, and Dorothy Cain.
Those left to cherish Polly’s memory include her son, Anthony Williams of White Oak, NC; her six grandchildren, Brittany Ray and husband Jason of Lillington, NC, Stephanie Garcia of Charlotte, NC, Austin Grant of Illinois, Ashlea Johnson and husband Sam of White Oak, NC, Zachery Williams and Nichole Williams of Elizabethtown, NC; her two great-grandchildren, Naomie Johnson and Kendal Johnson of White Oak, NC; her sister, Isla Gipson of Jackson, CA; and many more family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Polly was a woman of faith and a faithful member of White Oak Baptist Church. She loved her family more than anything and nothing made her happier than a table full of loved ones after church on Sunday or a house full on the holidays. She loved to bowl and was a part of several leagues in Fayetteville for many years. She worked with her husband for many years running the Spring Lake Ambulance Service and then Carroll’s Mobile Home service in Spring Lake. She never let anyone go hungry or if you needed a place to stay, her home was always open. Her big hugs, smile, and “I love yous “ will be missed by all.
There will be a visitation for family and friends held on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake. A service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Adcock Funeral Home, a graveside will follow the service at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
