Ward “Phil” Phillip Bellomy, 61, passed away on May 17, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Phil was born in Nashville, TN on May 30, 1960, to Richard and the late, Phyllis Bellomy.

Phil is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kristi Bellomy; son, Aaron Bellomy; and daughters, Amanda (Mike) Runion and Jessica Bellomy; brothers, Rick (Pam) and family and Jon and family; father, Richard H. Bellomy, Sr.; and grandchildren, Colin, Aiden, Connor, and Avery and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Bellomy and sister, Patricia Louise Bellomy.

Phil’s love for music started in his early teenage years when he began playing drums. He later found his passion for craftsmanship and building which laid the foundation for his career. Phil met his wife in August of 1978, proposed in October and they married in January 1979. They started their family in 1982 with their son, Aaron, who followed Phil in his love of music, the family continued to grow with Amanda in 1983 and was complete in 1989 with Jessica.

The Lord led the family to serve in Russia in 1994 as short-term missionaries, upon returning to the states he began work as a general contractor.

Phil was well loved by many; he had a quick wit and a generous nature along with an uncanny ability to solve problems. He continued to follow his Lord by singing and playing drums in the church praise band. Phil touched the lives of many with his hospitality, his door was always open, he genuinely loved people. In true Phil fashion he donated the gift of life and continues to solve problems even after his life ended.

A Celebration of Phil’s life will be held at The River Community Church, 777 Elliot Bridge Rd Fayetteville, NC 28311. Visitation will be Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 12 to 1:45pm followed by a service at 2pm. Burial will follow the service at Old Bluff Cemetery in Wade, NC.
