The Alabama concert that had been scheduled for Saturday at the Crown Coliseum has been rescheduled for Dec. 11 because of a death in one of the band member’s family, Crown officials said Thursday night.
The mother of Randy Owen — the lead vocalist and co-founder of the group — died Thursday morning, the Crown said in a release. Martha Alice Teague Owen died in Fort Payne, Alabama, following a short illness, the release said. She was 90.
Tickets purchased for the original concert date will be honored in December, the Crown said.
Refunds will be available at the point of purchase through June 17. Those who bought tickets online or over the phone should call 910-438-4100, the release said. Those who bought their tickets at the box office should bring their tickets by the box office by June 17 to receive a refund.
