A man died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds early Wednesday in the 5000 block of Murchison Road, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
The victim was identified as Ricardo Pittman, 35, according to a news release.
The Police Department’s Homicide Unit announced Wednesday night that an arrest had been made.
Zavion Richburg, 21, is charged with first-degree murder. He is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond, the Police Department said in a release.
The shooting was reported about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, the release said.
Pittman was shot multiple times in the chest. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment, where he was reported dead about 7 a.m., the release said.
