On June 12th, Ethan Jeremy William Ward was called home while resting at home. He was a son, a brother, a uncle, an athlete, a 2020 Pine Forest High School graduate, and college student matriculating through Methodist University. As a high school graduate, he received many honors and awards from Pine Forest High School in academics and athletics. He was truly the epitome of a student-athlete. He was a NC Scholars recipient, National Honor Society student and Career Technical Education Honor student.

Ethan was awarded a full scholarship to Methodist University, and was a member of the track team. He majored in Sports Management and aspired to continue his trek in the area of athletics.

Ethan participated in sports since he was a toddler, and in formal sports since his 5th grade year at Woodmoor Elementary School in Woodlawn, MD. He was active in football, track and field, and wrestling. Upon his family's move to Fayetteville, NC, he earned a varsity letter in all three of these sports.

We are starting this fundraiser to help our family with homegoing expenses. We rest assured in knowing that Ethan is with us in spirit and has left a loving family, coaches, teachers, teammates, classmates, and many who were impacted by his loving kindness and humble nature.

In the words of his football coach, Bill Sochovka: "Ethan was a focused student athlete whose work ethic both in the classroom and the football field was superior to none. He led by his actions and was well respected and loved by his teammates, coaches, teachers and the rest of the PFHS family. His smile was infectious."

From mom "My precious Ethan and protector, I love you so much and I am very proud of you. Meet me at the beach." I’ll see you soon.
We love you son.

We will always remember that smile! The family would like to thank you for your prayers, acts of kindness and comfort during this time.
